- Location Data: Approximate location derived from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent).
2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
If you sign in using a third-party service (such as Google Sign-In), we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that service, in accordance with that service's privacy settings.
3. Camera & Microphone Usage
FunMeet requires access to your device's camera and microphone to enable its core functionality — live, real-time video chat between users.
3.1 What We Access
- Camera: Used exclusively for live video streaming during video chat sessions with other users.
- Microphone: Used exclusively for live audio transmission during video chat sessions with other users.
3.2 How Camera & Microphone Data Is Handled
- Video and audio streams are transmitted in real-time on a peer-to-peer (P2P) basis using WebRTC technology. This means your video and audio data flows directly between your device and the other user's device.
- We do not record, store, or archive your video or audio streams on our servers during normal usage.
- Camera and microphone access is only active during an active video chat session and is not used in the background.
- You can revoke camera and microphone permissions at any time through your device settings, though this will prevent you from using the video chat feature.
3.3 Content Moderation
To maintain a safe environment, we may employ automated content moderation tools that analyze video streams in real time to detect violations of our Community Guidelines (such as nudity, violence, or other prohibited content). This analysis is performed in real time and does not involve permanent storage of your video content.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide & Operate the Service: To facilitate random video chat connections, manage your account, and deliver core App functionality.
- Matching: To pair you with other users based on preferences such as gender or region.

- Account Data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Usage & Log Data: Automatically collected data is retained for up to 12 months for analytics and safety purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- Video & Audio: As stated above, we do not store video or audio content from your chat sessions.
