Child Safety Standards
1. Our Commitment
TechySkitter has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Neither has any place in AnyTime, and we will act on every report we receive.
These standards apply to everyone who uses the AnyTime app ("AnyTime: Offline Nearby Chat"), published by TechySkitter. They explain what is prohibited, how the app is designed to reduce risk, how to report a concern, and what we do when we receive one.
2. What Is Not Allowed
You may not use AnyTime to do any of the following. This list is not exhaustive.
- Child sexual abuse material: creating, sending, requesting, storing or sharing any image, video, text or other content that sexually depicts or sexualises a person under 18, including drawn, edited or computer-generated material.
- Grooming: befriending or building trust with a child in order to sexually abuse or exploit them, or to obtain sexual content from them.
- Sexual contact with minors: any sexual conversation with a person under 18, or any attempt to meet a child for a sexual purpose.
- Sextortion: threatening or pressuring a child using real or claimed intimate images, or to obtain images, money or contact.
- Trafficking and exploitation: advertising, soliciting or arranging the sexual exploitation of a child.
- Sexualising minors: content or comments that sexualise children in any other way.
These are also serious crimes in most countries. We report them to the authorities as described below.
3. Who Can Use AnyTime
AnyTime is not intended for children under 13. The app asks for a date of birth during setup and does not allow anyone under 13 to create an account. AnyTime is not a dating app and is not designed to connect people for romantic or sexual purposes.
4. How AnyTime Is Built to Protect Users
AnyTime works over Bluetooth between phones that are physically close to each other, with no internet and no servers. Several parts of its design limit how it can be misused:
- No public content. There are no public profiles, profile photos, feeds, groups or channels. Nothing can be posted for strangers to browse.
- Nobody can message you without your consent. A person nearby can only send a short request. You must accept it before any chat or photo can reach you.
- You can stop all new requests with one setting, and you can turn off "Discoverable" so that you do not appear to people nearby at all.
- You can block anyone, at any time. A blocked person cannot see you nearby or send you anything, and is not told that they were blocked.
- No location sharing. The app never shares a position or a map. Others only learn that you are within Bluetooth range.
- Very little personal information. Other users see only the username you choose. Your date of birth and gender are never sent to anyone.
Chats in AnyTime are end-to-end encrypted and pass directly between two phones. They never reach us, so we cannot see, scan or moderate conversations. This protects everyone's privacy, and it also means that we depend on reports from users to learn about abuse. Please report anything that concerns you.
5. How to Report
You can report a user from inside the app, and reporting always blocks that person immediately, even when you have no internet.
5.1 In the app
- From a chat: open the chat, tap the menu (the three dots at the top right) and choose Report.
- From a request: on the Requests tab, tap Report on the request.
Choose a reason, for example "Child safety concern", and confirm. Two things then happen:
- The person is blocked on your phone straight away. This does not need an internet connection.
- Your phone's email app opens with a report addressed to our safety team, already filled in with the reason and the identifiers of both accounts. Add a description of what happened and press Send. If you are offline, your email app keeps the message and sends it as soon as you are back online.
You can find these instructions in the app at any time under Profile → Safety and reporting.
5.2 By email
You can also write to us directly at [email protected], whether or not you use AnyTime. Please include the username of the person concerned, including the short code shown after it (for example @name·a1b2), and what happened.
5.3 A note on evidence
Because we cannot see your conversations, what you tell us is the only information we have. Describe what happened in your own words. Do not send us, forward or share images or videos that show the sexual abuse of a child, even to report them. Sharing such material is illegal in many countries. Tell us that it exists, and report it to the police or to one of the organisations listed in section 7, who can receive it lawfully.
6. What We Do with a Report
- We review every report we receive, and we treat reports about the safety of a child as our highest priority.
- We report to the authorities. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of a child, we report it to the appropriate authority as required by applicable law. Depending on the country, this may be the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, or the relevant national law enforcement agency.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and respond to valid legal requests. Because AnyTime has no servers and does not collect its users' data, the information we can provide is limited to what a reporter has sent us.
- We keep reports confidential. We never tell a reported person who reported them.
- We improve the app. We use what we learn from reports to strengthen the app's safeguards.
AnyTime has no central accounts, so we cannot remotely remove a person or their messages from other people's phones. Blocking, which happens on your own phone the moment you report, is what stops that person from reaching you again.
7. If a Child Is in Immediate Danger
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first. Do not wait for a reply from us.
You can also report child sexual abuse or exploitation directly to these organisations:
- India: Childline, phone 1098 (free, 24 hours), and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.
- United States: the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
- United Kingdom: the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk.
- Other countries: find your national hotline through INHOPE at inhope.org.
8. Compliance with Child Safety Laws
TechySkitter complies with the child safety laws and regulations that apply to us, including obligations to report child sexual abuse material and child sexual exploitation to the relevant authorities. These standards are published to meet Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
9. Child Safety Point of Contact
Questions about these standards, and about AnyTime's practices for preventing child sexual abuse material and child sexual abuse and exploitation, can be sent to our designated contact:
- Company: TechySkitter

10. Changes to These Standards
We may update these standards as the app or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. See also the AnyTime Privacy Policy.
